Ace Tips on Bridge CranesBridge cranes are custom built pieces of material handling equipment designed for a specific location and a particular overhead lifting job. A finished unit is made up of basic standardized components with the size, method of assembly, and characteristics chosen, yielding the desired result. The basic components of most bridge cranes are (1) end trucks. (2) bridge drives, (3) bridge control panel, (4) bridge girder, (5) trolley, (6) hoist, (7) festooned cross conductors, (8) festooned push button conductors, and (9) push button and cable assembly. Sometimes other components such as a catwalk, cab, radio control, collision control device, warning horn, lights, or other special accessory are added. There are various types of bridge cranes with many being highly specialized, but the great majority of installations fall into one of three categories: (1) top running single girder bridge cranes, (2) top running double girder bridge cranes, and (3) underrunning single girder bridge cranes. Ace Industries manufactures all types of quality bridge cranes engineered to meet your specific application. To accomplish this result for you quickly and most economically, we stock complete proven selections of end trucks, drives, controls, hoists, trolleys, and other related equipment manufactured by the leading hoist and crane companies in the world. When presented with your exact requirement, our professional engineering staff, will custom design a bridge crane to meet your needs. There is no compromise with quality. Every component is chosen based on our vast experience to yield superior performance, reliability, durability, and economy (lowest total cost of ownership). The component manufacturers we represent are recognized as some of the foremost and most reliable in the world. We stock and supply end trucks, hoists and trolleys by Shaw Box (LiftTech), CM, Yale, Coffing, R&M, Ace Engineering, and Stahl. Some crane builders attempt to cut costs by supplying only the hoist from a nationally recognized vendor and manufacturing their own end trucks and trolleys. This is usually done at the expense of quality and reliability. Certainly, at a later time, the crane owner is a captive market with limited options, when it comes to finding and purchasing repair parts for these locally manufactured components, if they are even available. Ace not only manufactures bridge cranes, but we also provide and install complete systems consisting of engineering, runways, support columns, and all other items to make sure that you have single source responsibility and a turn key job. Our world class engineering department, insures you that these systems will reliably handle your application. Call us whenever you have a need for a new bridge crane or any modification to an older one that you might already own. Modernization or modification of older cranes is one of our specialties. Our engineering staff and other specialists can save you money by refurbishing your older but still useful equipment. Some basic dimensions and engineering data for our standard bridge cranes to 60’ span and 30 ton are presented throughout this page. These crane specifications are representative only and should not be relied on for accuracy in your application. Other bridge cranes for spans in excess of 100 feet and capacities in excess of 100 tons are available on application. Please consult us regarding your bridge crane needs and we will provide a detailed quotation designed specifically for you. Our continuing challenge at Ace is to be the your highest quality, lowest cost, best service supplier in the crane and hoist industry. |
