1/2 Ton Harrington NER II

NER II electric chain hoist was upgraded with the latest technology and environmental concerns. NER II was engineering to enable it to gain a reputation as the safest, highest quality, most reliable hoist in the WORLD! The NER II is the newest upgrade to the NER line of hoists from Harrington. Along with the features you loved about the original NER, following is a small list of upgrades found on the NER II:

UL® Listed - Certified and listed to UL 1340 "Standard for Hoists."
Green Initiative - Built smarter without the use of harmful materials. Environmentally friendly. RoHS comploant.
Easy Access Suspension - External pins allow for quick change from hook to lug for trolley mount configurations on most models.
Perpendicular Orientation - PT push trolley mount and MR motorized trolley mount hoists are configured as perpendicular to the beam on single fall models. Parallel mount is available as an option.
High Strength Chain & Extended Chain Life - Grade 80, super strength, nickel-plated load chain, certified to DIN standards, uses unique technology to greatly increase resistance to fatigue and wear.
Improved Strength Load Chain - Shorter link Pitch (length) 2.8 dn (ER was 3.0 dn). Smaller link width which gives greater increased abrasion resistance. 11.2mm chain: 50% increase in chain life!
Unique Load Sheave - Increased number of pockets reduce chain vibration and increase chain life. 5 pockets standard; 6 pockets on smaller body hoists. Extra pocket reduces “wear area” of the chain link. “Wear area” per chain link is larger with used with a 4 pocket load sheave compared to 5.
Inmproved Notched Hook: Latch - Provides positive closing and improves resistance against lateral forces standard on most models
Upper & Lower Limit Switch (Standard) - Low-profile upper and lower limit switches are standard
Improved Contactors - Mechanically interlocked, heavy-duty contactors on single speed models.
Improved Friction Clutch & Load Brake - Friction clutch is standard on NER/ER models and friction clutch with mechanical load brake standard on ER models. Carbon friction material provides consistent performance over a wide temperature range
High Air Flow - Cooler motor and brake attributed to an engineered motor fin, fan blade and fan cover design.
CH Meter (Standard) - Records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time which is valuable for preventive maintenance. Integral to VFD on dual speed models.
Ergonomic Pendant Control - Ergonomic design for operator comfort. Red button emergency stop is standard on all 4-button and on 2-button dual speed pendants. E-Stop is not a mainline contactor (MLC). MLC cuts power to the hoist. E-Stop cuts control circuit from the pendant. MLC wiring available as an Option! MLC is internal (Control Panel) on all single speed hoist, however not wired as standard.
“The Guardian”: Smart Brake Technology - “The Guardian”: Smart Brake Technology is the new standard for electric chain hoists. This unique DC Current brake has an electrical fail safe design that ensures the brake does not release unless the motor is energized. Electrical fail safe design!
Strong, durable, maintenance free, 10 year warranty Series connection with motor, immediate response energy efficient Electrical fail safe design! A current brake activates the brake coil when the motor draws current. This current brake is coupled in Series (DC through a rectifier) with one of the three legs of power feeding the motor. This method is failsafe, brake will not activate during single phasing or motor burnout. Guardian Smart Brake takes advantage of the “in-rush” current created at motor start-up. This quicker reaction time minimizes drag, thus wear. Guardian Smart Brake uses only 2% of the line voltage, this implies very little resistance. Guardian Smart Brake Coil Design: Current style brake uses large windings but few coils. This is very strong, break-down resistant and durable. Operates with little amp draw and heat build up. Brake gap on Guardian Smart Brake is very small. Brake does not need to “Pull In” as far as competitors. Noticeably less motor torque at start up, compared to pole change motors. Brake is guaranteed to 2 million cycles Harrington will replace any brake, regardless of wear if it is before 10 years and used in accordance with the Owner’s Manual.
Dual Speed VFD (Standard) - All NER II and ER II (230V and 460V) Dual Speed hoists are equipped with an under-the-cover VFD standard.
