Notable features of the Alpha 500 are as follows:

• The transmitter will operate for more than 150 hours of continuous use before replacement of the two AA batteries are required.
• The unit has an advanced microprocessor with highly evolved software that has redundant error checking and correcting capabilities to insure 100% error-free transmission power
• The radio has safety features that include receiver self-diagnosing, transmitter self-diagnosing, transmitter low voltage detection and warning, transmitter and receiver MAIN deactivation when the transmitter is not in use, during transmitter low voltage, and when the system is in sleep mode.
• The encoder/decoder system utilizes advanced microprocessor control. The availability of 32,768 sets of unique ID codes will insure that only commands from the matching control transmitter can be carried out.
• For added safety, the system also incorporates special types of safety relays for the receiver MAIN. If the receiver MAIN relay is defective (fails to open or close during operation), the safety relays will signal the system to shutdown immediately to avoid the possibility of any accidents occurring.
• An efficient power saving circuit requires only two AA alkaline batteries. The battery life is good for more than 150 hours of continuous operation between battery replacements.
• Specially designed 2 step push buttons are extremely durable and reliable for a minimum of up to one million press cycles. Unlike most of the 2-step pushbuttons available, these pushbuttons are easily manipulated even when the operator is wearing gloves. The snap action of the buttons provides positive tactile feedback to the control operator.
• Synthesized PLL receiving module allows the receiver to be set to accept signals from any of the 30 available channels.
• Transmitter and receiver enclosures are fully waterproofed, which enable the system to be used in wet or high moisture environments.
• Hermetically sealed transmitter and receiver enclosures are made from industrial strength materials that resist breakage from high impacts. The enclosures are also impervious to dust, water, oil, grease, acid, alkaline, heat, sunlight, and are resistant to deformation from long term usage in harsh environments.
• All systems are in full compliance with the FCC Part-15 Rules, European Directives (CE/CB), and Industry Canada (IC), designed and manufactured by an ISO9001 certified company.
