Budgit Hoists
Shortly after Ace Industries was founded in 1932, the first Budgit electric chain hoist appeared on the scene. "Budgit" was the name given to the "chain hoist-package goods" line of hoisting products by Manning Maxwell & Moore(MMM), the manufacturer of the renowned Shaw Box line of wire rope hoists. MMM was later purchased by Dresser Industries, which was later succeeded by LiftTech International.
The original Budgit pull cord roller chain hoist, developed over 60 years ago, was a workhorse and large numbers are still in use today. After many successful years the original pull cord hoist was redesigned into the current push button, aluminum alloy framed model, the design of which has been improved steadily up until the present day.
