Cable reels provide an easy solution to providing power (or air) to a traveling hoist. Applications such as short monrails or gantry cranes are ideal candidates for a cable reel. The addition of a swivel base can allow the reel to be mounted in the middle of a span, effectively cutting the distance from source voltage to the hoist in half. This is especially important for high amperage single phase hoists!
